Missing Adults - 2011

When an adult goes missing it can be especially difficult to obtain media attention, or even the attention of the police agency. Many times the common thought is that "adults have a right to go missing."

We, at LostNMissing, personally believe that no adult has the "right" to go missing without notification to law enforcement. If only those who chose to go missing alerted their local police, it would save valuable time with police agencies to search for those who are truly missing. However, we do know this does happen and sometimes this is not entirely at fault of the missing loved one.

Many times someone may have had an emotional breakdown and just needed to step away from their present life. Other times one may be missing due to a medical condition, an accident or foul play. Regardless of the reason, we will always strive to help locate any missing loved one, no matter the reason for their missing status as long as a missing persons report has been submitted and accepted by the reporting police agency. All that is required is an NCIC or case number.
